Closed flow tools: These tools (like standard chucks) only allow air to pass when engaged onto a valve. These are ideal for direct lines coming off your compressor.

Open flow tools: These are designed for use with handheld inflator gauges, where the trigger on the gauge—not the chuck—controls the airflow.
